Donations

If the idea of leaving a lasting legacy to ham radio and a local ham radio club appeals to you, or you are trying to determine what to do with equipment that for whatever reason is no longer being used, consider making a donation of radio equipment or a monetary bequest to the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society (CARS).

When an individual or group wishes to make a donation to CARS, your contribution can help us better serve the community in a variety of ways. In some cases, donated equipment will be used to support CARS-run stations, such as the Copley Middle School & Copley High School. Equipment can also be used while operating from offsite locations, such as a lighthouse, school event, or Field Day, or sold in order to generate funds for CARS. The proceeds from these sales as well as monetary donations will help us fund the creation of proposed Ham stations at local schools and to support CARS as we continue to provide service to the community.

Please rest assured that all donations will benefit a good cause and will be used to help those in need. Local clubs like CARS grow through the generosity of fellow ham radio operators and the general public who have equipment that is no longer being used.

By including CARS in your estate plans, you will leave a powerful legacy for Amateur Radio. Through these gifts, you provide the long-range capability for CARS to educate the next generation about ham radio, preserve the traditions and history of this medium in the Cleveland area, and help ensure that Amateur Radio will be ready to provide vital public service when disaster strikes.

Through an equipment donation or monetary bequest to CARS, you can honor the life or contributions of a family member or friend for whom Amateur Radio has been a passion:

The Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society is a non-profit organization and is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations of cash or equipment are tax deductible as allowed by law. In order to facilitate your deduction, CARS will provide you with a letter stating the estimated fair market value of any donated equipment.

If you have any questions or require any assistance in making a donation, please contact the Development Committee at: PO Box 31264, Independence, Ohio 44131, or click here to send an email.

Thank you for supporting ham radio and the Cuyahoga Amateur Radio Society
